What We Do

Dedicated to meeting your discovery needs.

Areas of Practice

As a boutique, scalable law firm, Tanenholz & Marr is able to oversee the entire discovery process at a significantly lower cost than traditionally possible. While the common practice of engaging staffing agencies to perform a managed review can be appropriate, if a client seeks document review and discovery services with built-in legal oversight, Tanenholz & Marr offers just that. This distinction allows us to minimize much of the hours that go into document review, as neither corporate nor trial counsel are required to spend time on legal oversight and quality control of our review teams. It also means that a client’s discovery is in the hands of the same legal team for the entire duration of the review, from first-pass through final privilege.

discovery

As a discovery counsel law firm, we are able to provide our clients a full spectrum of discovery services, from initial consultation and first-pass reviews to final privilege review and discovery management. We guide our clients’ discovery with careful planning, comprehensive training, thorough quality control and reviewer accountability. Tanenholz & Marr works with you to outline the specific goals of the production and review. Our discovery plans’ timelines and cost projections allow our clients to better manage discovery deadlines and budgets.

e-discovery services

To complement our attorney managed review services, Tanenholz & Marr offers a full suite of e-discovery services to manage ESI from collection to processing to production. These ancillary e-discovery services are priced highly competitively to help clients contain total discovery costs. Our e-discovery project managers work closely with lead attorneys from the outset of each case to assess and cull data, uniquely configure the database and review platform, customize the review workflow, provide robust reporting, and perform ongoing quality control.

document review

Document review teams are assembled based on the individual needs of each case and can be tailored to accommodate foreign language or special background requirements. Under the supervision of a Senior Associate, our attorney teams review documents for relevancy, confidentiality, issues, potential privilege and privilege. If needed, our special projects attorneys are available to prepare issue binders and privilege logs. All of our attorneys are licensed in the jurisdiction where they work, and most have five or more years of legal experience from diverse backgrounds in Big Law, solo practice, and ediscovery.

information governance

We counsel clients on document management systems and can help select the right platform for each client’s document needs. We are available to manage the records management transition process through final implementation, and can provide training sessions to relevant personnel on the software and categorization process. Once the document management system is in place, we are available to provide legal review services on an as-needed basis.
